Closed world

The finite, published list of sources research is allowed to fetch from, ranked by authority: courts and legislation first, then regulators and official publishers. It covers the United Kingdom, Ireland, the European Union and the ECHR today, plus international bodies, and it grows as sources are certified. It is not the limit of where the product can be used: a matter in a jurisdiction with no approved list still runs, at open-web quality with the same gates, and the output says so. Paywalled subscription databases are not read.
