LegalAI Space for Word: edits proposed as tracked changes you apply
A Microsoft Word add-in. A pane opens beside the document from Word's Home tab, signed in to the firm's workspace. Ask about the open document and the answer cites the paragraph; click ¶5 and Word selects it. Ask it to change a clause and it proposes the new wording as a marked-up card, deletions struck through and insertions highlighted, with a one-line reason. Apply puts it in as a Word tracked change attributed to you; Skip leaves it alone. An optional setting applies edits as tracked changes immediately, for review in Word's own Review pane. Six quick actions ship by default, the firm can edit or replace them, and a firm admin controls six capabilities separately. Runs in Word on the web, Word for Windows (Microsoft 365, build 2205 or later) and Word for Mac (16.61 or later).
Services Agreement
This Services Agreement is made on the Effective Date between Northwind Consulting Limited (the Supplier) and Contoso Holdings plc (the Customer).
2. Fees. The Customer shall pay the Fees within 30 days of receipt of a valid invoice. Late payments accrue interest at 4% above the Bank of England base rate.
3. Insurance. The Supplier shall maintain the insurances set out in Schedule 3 for the term and for two years after it ends.
4. Liability. Neither party excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Subject to that, the Supplier's total liability under this Agreement is limited to the Fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
5. Term. This Agreement continues for an initial term of 24 months and renews for successive 12-month periods unless either party gives notice.
- What this changes
- Fee-earners can work in Word with the same workspace, credits, agents and verification as the web app. Firms install it from a manifest through the Microsoft 365 admin centre, or members install it individually; it is not in Microsoft AppSource.
- Governance note, for the COLP
- The add-in never accepts or rejects a tracked change, its own or anyone else's. The document file leaves the machine only when a member chooses Save a copy. Sessions are tokens pinned to one workspace, expiring after 30 days by default and revocable by the member, the firm or the platform.
