Open a matter and run the conflict check
Every document, chat, agent run, credit, share link and audit row in the product hangs off a matter. Opening one properly takes a few minutes, and the conflict check is not a separate task, it runs when the matter is saved.
- Agents
- First draft
- A matter record and a conflict check in under a minute, then an intake memo the same morning.
- Steps
- 5
The problem
Step 01 of 05
Create the matter
Client, matter reference, responsible partner, practice area, jurisdiction, counterparties and key dates are captured in one form.

Step 02 of 05
The conflict check runs on save
Name matching runs across every matter, party and document in the firm. A clear result, a visible match, or a restricted-matter redaction, are the three outcomes.

Step 03 of 05
Add the documents
The term sheet, the current Articles and the board minutes convert to clean text so agents can quote from them.

Step 04 of 05
Open the file properly
The Client Intake Agent summarises what has been agreed, what is outstanding, and flags any contradiction between the documents on the matter.

Step 05 of 05
Read the contradictions
A drag-along threshold mismatch between the term sheet and the Articles, and the same jurisdiction mismatch from a linked NDA matter, are both surfaced.

What comes back
A document, not a transcript.
- A conflict check result recorded on the register with the names it searched.
- A matter summary naming the parties, the terms agreed so far and the key dates.
- Contradictions between documents on the matter, each tied to the clause or minute it came from.
- A restricted-matter notice to a reader who is not on the conflicting file, without the confidential detail.
What it does not do
- The conflict check is name matching across the firm's own records. It is not a Companies House search and does not replace the firm's own conflict policy.
- Ethical walls and information barriers are not a feature. Restricted matters and per-reader redaction exist instead.
- It does not decide whether a matched name is actually a conflict; the partner reads the match and decides.
